June 4, 2022
Clintwood United Methodist Church had a “Meet Your Neighbors” cookout on Saturday at the church.
Hot dogs, Pastor Mark Huffine's famous pulled pork, and many delicious side dishes and desserts were provided by church members. This was a free event. A bouncy house was provided for the kids and was a big hit. Lots of great fun and fellowship! Non-members were welcomed.  Keep an eye out for other events through the summer.

WDIC (the new 92.1) had the honor and privilege of attending the Dickenson County Drug Court commencement ceremony today. Drug Court is a program dedicated to “…intensive supervision and treatment of the non-violent substance-abusing offender…”. It’s not a walk in the park but takes great determination and motivation to complete. Drug Court is a 14-month program but can take up to two years. Participants who complete the program will have all charges dismissed. The Honorable Brian K. Patton, Judge, officiated and gave opening remarks. Pastor Mark Huffine, Clintwood United Methodist Church, gave the opening prayer. Attorney Josh Evans, gave a heartfelt keynote address. Many family and friends of the graduates attended today’s ceremony. Field Representative Thatcher Stanley, from Congressman Morgan Griffith’s office was also in attendance. WDIC applauds the three graduates: Wade Beverly, Meegan Rose Fletcher and Daniel Rose on their hard work and perseverance, and wishes them a bright future as they embark on a new life.
